Favorite Rady Memory So Far
Leading the Rady Technology Club vision to create the Rady MBA Technology Conference has been my favorite Rady memory so far. It was a great opportunity to work with the UC San Diego and Rady community in an entrepreneurial spirit and have incredible discussions with key leaders on the bleeding edge. Taking the idea from inception to reality was a challenging but rewarding endeavor. The Technology Club, Student Board, and Staff we worked with were profound. Speakers came in from as close as Qualcomm’s San Diego Office, to as far as Google Glass’ NYC Office.
Why Rady was the right choice for you
Aside from the lovely tropical weather, internationally acclaimed faculty, and entrepreneurial spirit, Rady has been the right choice for me to have a customizable MBA experience. Doing so, I have been able to focus on specific courses and student organizations that grow my professional skills.
Piece of advice for someone interested in applying to Rady
I encourage prospective students to reach out to the MBA Ambassadors. We love hearing from potential admits and engaging in class visits. The best way to experience Rady is in person.
Hobbies/Favorite things to do in San Diego
San Diego has a plethora of golf courses with close proximity to UC San Diego and La Jolla. With Torrey Pines a two minute drive from Rady, it is easy to head to the driving range after class. Annually, Torrey Pines also hosts a PGA tournament which I have attended both years of my MBA. As a whole, San Diego has an abundance of outdoor and indoor activities such as surfing, ice skating, and climbing. The best campus views of the Pacific Ocean can even be seen from above the Rady Student Lounge. In addition, the proximity of San Diego’s Technology Hub creates a great balance for attending thought-provoking events downtown.

Favorite Rady course and why
The Analytics in the Wild course is by far one of my favorites. Taking this course has expanded both my quantitative and strategic understanding of Big Data. In this class, our team was fortunate to work on a consulting project with Hewlett Packard, analyzing an expansive dataset for the first time and presenting our recommendations. It brought together concepts from many MBA courses and allowed us to have immediate impact.
Our Ambassadors welcome the opportunity to connect with you online or in-person for an informational meeting and tour of Rady facilities. Click here to email a question to Sarah.
